In the past few weeks we remembered a number of deaths of persons close to members of the community.

On Tuesday February 14, we buried Fr. Michael Austin Burke, in Hales Corners. As a Region we remember Michael for his stint as the novice director at the International Novitiate in Toronto after his ministry as Provincial Superior of the US Province.

On Wednesday, February 15, Miep Marrevee – Swartjes, the sister-in-law of Fr. Bill Marrevee died in Schiedam, the Netherlands at the age of 84.

On Friday February 17, Michael Hak, a nephew of Fr. John van den Hengel died in Seaforth, ON at the age of 56.
