On Tuesday, April 18, Sister Maran Rose  defended her Canon Law doctoral thesis at Saint Paul University. Sr. Maran is well known both to the Toronto and the Ottawa communities. In Ottawa she stayed at our house during the time of the writing of her dissertation whenever she needed to be in touch with her thesis director. Her thesis was a study of the section of the Code of Canon Law dealing with the formation programs after first vows and prior to final vows. She received high praise for her work. She will return to her country of origin, Kenya probably during the summer.
